US Agriseeds attends the Ag Showcase at the California Polytechnic State University
San Luis Obispo, January 2010: On Monday, January 25th, 2010, US Agriseeds attended the annual
Ag Showcase job fair that was hosted by the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Science at the California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly). The Ag Showcase is an event coordinated by students, who invite leaders in the agriculture industry to come and give Cal Poly students an opportunity come face to face with agriculture companies and possibly land a full time position or internship. Companies have the option to recruit, collect resumes, hand out information, and even interview on the spot. For the third consecutive year US Agriseeds attended this career fair in the search for potential interns.
This year US Agriseeds sent three representatives to the job fair: Mr. Joe Miles, General Manager for the United States, Mr. Salvador Hurtado, Technical Sales and Customer Service for Central and South America, and Ms. Aubrey Staats, current intern of the finance department. US Agriseeds will keep offering a summer internship in an effort to provide real life seed industry experience, as well as hire high capable individuals.
The Ag Showcase job fair coordinator, Mr.Mike Badger, agriculture business major at Cal Poly and current intern at US Agriseeds, agreed that the Ag Showcase is a great place to meet and greet with leaders of the agriculture industry as well as possibly land a full time career or internship if you are not ready to graduate. US Agriseeds is looking to fill three internship positions this summer in the following departments: Customer Service, Operations, Maerketing and Finance.
